Fulbright has been a great experience so far. It is a lot of work on top of teaching each day, but I have been managing it. I have been trying my best to incorporate the global competency with the curriculum I have and it has been a challenge. My students are embracing it, but my work still involves having them understand that they each play an important role as a citizen.
As for myself, I've just been low-key. Using Crossfit as my stress reliever has been helpful and it clears my mind from all the chaos. I am still figuring out where I stand in some instances, but I am hopeful that with communication, patience, and laughter things will work out for themselves. Just have to look for the positives in each moment.
