Our school year started a week and half-ago, and a lot has already happened. A lot of "backtracking" or things that were said/not said concerning the pandemic-because things are not black and white. Overall, the students have been doing well, adjustments need to be made, transitions back to in-person for everyone because we spent a year and half in homes and virtually learning. Lunch lines are long, but are slowly managing along. It has been rough, I learned a lot about society and how logic sometimes does not play a key role.
Nonetheless, we are moving forward. Can only hope for the best, and really just put the safety of ourselves and others ahead. Sometimes the act of being conscientious is necessary. For all stakeholders. We had a motivational speaker, school outdoor dance, and next week is Jamboree (high school scrimmage). My calendar has been building to a lot of events, induction program starting, and maintaining neutrality in listening to all perspectives on the table. My teacher brain, battles with admin brain, and my human conditions.
Speaking of mentality, I still keep CrossFit in my lane. I had to adjust my schedule since I have meetings and work later in the day now, compared to my teacher lifestyle. I have been waking up at 4:45 am Monday-Friday to get my workout in. It has been a new adjustment, but I also tell myself I need to go, because it gives me peace of mind each day. I have to do that for myself, and I make sure to make the time for that. Overall, the daily outfits are still in the works, I just don't know how long I will keep it up.
That is the life for now...
